The Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) and Sastra Creations Pvt. Ltd. has jointly organized the first ever Nation Wide Web Competition 2013. With an objective to increase the knowledge and awareness regarding the significance and the necessity of ICT and related technologies, this competition has been brought to fruition. With the registration being open from the 2nd of Jan, 2013 any interested candidates can register online and participate in the competition. The fee associated with registration is only NRs. 500/-, reasonable enough as compared to the cash prizes and benefits attached to the competition.
About the organizers, Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) was established in 1992 with the involvement of professionals, specialists, manufacturers, institutions and the related organization of Computer and Information Technology sector in Nepal. It is the umbrella organization with membership based ranging from (Information and Communication Technology) ICT institutions, associations to the individuals working in this sector. It works along the lines of an autonomous, non-political, non-partisan, non-profitable and service oriented organization.
Sastra Creations Pvt. Ltd. is a recent organization, established in June 2012, run by young entrepreneurs. A dream turned into reality, Sastra Creations Pvt. Ltd. strives to ensure that every business, organization and any other consumer receive ICT based services at a very reasonable cost. The CEO, Mr. Ashish Jung Rayamajhi, who is also the mastermind behind the company, believes that there is abundant scope in Nepal in this sector; however such has not been realized yet. Sastra Creations wants to tap in these gaps and help develop the information and communication sector in Nepal.
